Root Cause
Carbon builds up around the tip of the glow plug inside the cylinder. When a mechanic tries to unscrew it, the tip snaps off inside the engine.
How To Fix
Soak plugs in penetrating oil for 3 days before attempting removal. Use a torque wrench in reverse (max 20Nm). If snapped, a specialist extraction service is required (£150-300).
